Eszence has become an essential spot in Burlingame, California for massage therapy thanks to owner Carrina Lau. After receiving her massage license in 1999 from National Holistic Institute, Carrina knew she needed to create an environment where she could express her passion and love for healthy living in an organic way. Living in a strong, ageless body is important to Lau, which is why she chooses to share her massage and relaxation techniques to those willing to learn.

As a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Lau works in a precise, effective manner which leaves clients in the ultimate state of relaxation. This state allows the body to heal itself, which is essential in a world where we are constantly on-the-go.

Stress is the main cause of all disease, which is why Eszence was created – to engage clients through massage education as well as promoting a healthy, balanced, mindful lifestyle. Lau herself participates in daily meditation and exercise in order for her wellness and strength to influence her clients.

While Carrina’s primary love is helping people achieve a pain-free body and relaxed mind specializing in shoulder, neck, and back pain, she also enjoys fashion design and drawing.
